Scope of work

CPC is a DFW based business and your one stop solution for industrial and commercial power generation equipment. Four pillars, one team, one point of contact.

Scope items

  1. 01

    Sales

New and used equipment, bought and sold.

Diesel and natural gas gensets, transfer switches, industrial engines, and power units from 1 kW to 3,500 kW, in standby, prime, or continuous ratings, across the EPA tier ladder. Tell us the spec and an account representative will reach out.

    For
    Operators, asset managers, procurement, facilities.
  2. 02

    Service

    Preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.

    Rev pending — owner review

Scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on diesel and natural gas units, including load bank testing, overhaul work, and parts.

    For
Facilities teams, operators, and property managers.
  3. 03

    Installs

    Site assessment through commissioning.

    Rev pending — owner review

A CAT standby generator set installed on a concrete pad beside a metal building, with its fuel tank base and exterior control panel visible.
Plate 03 Standby set on a housekeeping pad. Fuel base, exterior panel, conduit run.

Pad, fuel connection, and transfer switch, finished with startup and commissioning, with the electrical work coordinated as part of the scope. We survey the site up front for access, clearances, fuel source, and load, so the unit arrives ready to run.

    For
New installs, replacements, and capacity upgrades.
  4. 04

    Decommissioning

Disconnect, remove, and transport, with one point of contact.

When a site is being shut down or upgraded, the genset is rarely the only thing that needs to move. We coordinate the disconnect, removal, and transport, typically in parallel with the broader decommissioning effort.

    For
Site closures, plant relocations, fleet refresh programs.

The same kW rating, specified six different ways.

A 500 kW genset for a data center isn't specified the same way as a 500 kW genset for an oil-field site. We work the spec that fits the application: emissions, runtime, redundancy, enclosure, voltage.

Data Centers

Standby + N+1 redundancy · Tier 2-4 · 480V three-phase common

Data centers need standby gensets that can carry the full IT and cooling load through utility outages, and they need redundancy: N+1 at minimum, often 2N. We size units to the actual load, not the nameplate, and we factor in fuel storage runtime and tier compliance for the local AHJ.

Healthcare

NFPA 110 Type 10 / Class X · Life Safety + Critical + Equipment branches

Healthcare facilities operate under NFPA 110, the Standard for Emergency and Standby Power Systems. Type 10 means the generator must accept load within 10 seconds; Class X defines the duration the system can run without refueling. We work specs that pass JCAHO and CMS surveys.

Oil & Gas

Prime + continuous · Tier 4 Final or pre-emission · Field-portable

Upstream and midstream operations frequently need prime-rated units that can run continuously at the load factor, often in remote locations. EPA emission tier requirements depend on use class, whether temporary stationary or non-road portable, and we sort that out with you.

Construction

Rental + sale · Trailer-mounted · 60 kW to 500 kW typical

Construction sites typically need trailer-mounted, weatherproof units sized for jobsite tools and temporary lighting. We supply units with the right enclosure rating, fuel tank for site-day runtime, and tier compliance for the jurisdiction.

Telecom

Standby · Long-runtime fuel · Sound-attenuated

Cell sites and central offices need standby units sized small (often 30 to 100 kW) but with sound-attenuated enclosures for residential-adjacent locations and extended fuel runtime for natural-disaster events.

Agriculture

Prime · Diesel or natural gas · Irrigation + processing loads

Ag operations run gensets for irrigation pumps, grain drying, dairy, and processing. Prime-rated units take the load all season; natural-gas units make sense where pipeline access is available. We work both new and well-maintained used units to fit operating budgets.
